Ladies Pairs Knockout Rules

Perpetual Trophy sponsored by the Members’ Fund, Kirtlington Golf Club (1998) Format: Four-Ball, Better-Ball Match Play, Eligibility: Open to all Ladies with a WHS Handicap Index including Junior girls. Only one junior per pair. Conditions of Entry: a) Entries to be made in Pairs. b) A random draw is made. c) A substitution may be made only prior to the first match being played d) Responsibility for match arrangements falls upon all participants equally. (It is recognised practice for the Players appearing first on the draw sheet to have the courtesy of applying to their opponents, offering three dates for play. However, consideration must be given where five and seven-day members meet, and at least one accommodating date [either weekday or weekend] offered.) e) All matches to commence at the First Tee. f) All matches must be played by the dates indicated. Failure to do so could result in disqualification of both pairings involved. g) Any disputes to be referred to the Ladies’ Committee, the decision of which is final. h) The Final maybe refereed, if requested Course Handicap Limit: 45 Handicap Allowance: Determine the exact Course Handicap for each player. Calculate the exact difference from the lowest, including decimal places. Apply the handicap allowance of 90% to the difference and round the result to get the shots Ties: Should no result be produced at the 18th hole, the match will proceed immediately to “sudden death” play-off, commencing at the 1st (19th) tee.
